Rigid and Flexible Elements

 Continuing our material exploration, we created grid of rigid hexagonal elements and added a flexible layer to form a supple sheet. Inspiration came from the way a tortoise shell is made up of interlocking scutes of various shapes consisting of both rigid and flexible layers.
