Behind the scenes: Here is a bit about how we created the images you see in our greeting.
The subject of our photos is a 3D printed design we experimented with earlier in the year to test the limits of our printer, and have some fun! Looking at of the finished form, we found the patterns on the inside just as visually interesting as the outside, and this view of the form was so uniquely different we wanted to capture it. We took numerous photos under different lighting conditions, selecting 3 variations to share with you for our new year greeting.
Testing and experimenting helps us gain an intimate understanding of design techniques that can take advantage of rapid manufacturing technology. We ran multiple tests, and this was just one of the forms we created. Check back to see more in the near future!
