Exploring form, translucency, and durability of 3D prints – the result is a sculptural illuminated arch, printed in six pieces on our Ultimaker S5. This project began as an exploration of ideas for our office conference table. See below for earlier concepts. Stay tuned for photos of the test installation. 

Earlier concepts of sculptural 3D printed legs designed to integrate with a custom wooden top - down lights mounted inside the top of each leg would project the mesh pattern of the legs onto the floor. Quotes for having these printed ranged from $36,000 - $3,600.
