Challenge Assumptions

Challenge Assumptions

“This is how it’s always been done” is not in our vocabulary. Instead, we ask, “what is possible?” When designing the Dexter Outdoors Dextreme Fillet Knife, we tackled the ergonomic challenge of designing a handle for the 2-in-1 dual edge blade through extensive ergonomic testing. The result is a grip with two comfortable orientations. The upper scalloped edge is for penetrating scales and bone—then, flip the handle to use the lower edge for filleting. Inspired by the shapes of sea creatures, its unique design enhances Dexter Outdoors’ visual brand language. What assumptions would you like to challenge? We invite you to join us.
